Special Division

Helicopters

The activities of the Special Division are focused mainly on providing complete service for the W-3A Sokol helicopters utilised by the Army of the CR. In regard to this Zenit is involved primarily in supplying spare parts and providing servicing, general repairs, inspections, training and additional support services.

Aviation equipment

The W-3A Sokol helicopter is used by the Army of the CR primarily for carrying out helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) in the Pilsen and Karlovy Vary regions. The Sokol helicopters provide air search and rescue (SAR) services for the entire territory of the Czech Republic. The W-3A Sokol helicopters have proved very useful several times as part of the IRS for rescuing people during the floods that have affected the Czech Republic in recent years.

Services

Zenit is certified by the Defence Standardisation and Codification and Government Quality Assurance Office for "Trade in military equipment and aviation technology" in connection with the management of the quality of supplies and services to the Army of the CR.
